You know, usually when we hear about Jonah, what we usually hear about is, is the big fish, he gets swallowed up, gets spit out, and he goes to Nineveh.

Well, what I wanna go in a little bit more detail is, is how much we're very similar to, to, to this situation like Jonah.

Because what happened was when, when Jonah told, uh, was told by God, "Go to Nineveh and preach to these people, this great city," even though Nineveh, I'm gonna tell you a little bit about Nineveh, the history of it, is that when, when, when people would come and, and, and prophesied to Nineveh, the king and everybody, they didn't like it.

They, it was said that they would have festivals and parties, and, and, and if you came in and you started prophesying, that right away they'd arrest you and, and, uh, say, "I don't wanna hear that." And next thing you know, they'd have a, a, a little party, and, and, and then they'd kill you and hang you up.

He, he went to Joppa a- and bought a, a, a ticket, and he was going to Tarshish, and that's 2,500 miles away.

How many of us, how many of us, maybe not you, maybe the people behind you, have, have, have said, "God, I'm not doing that"? How God's told you, "Go and minister to so-and-so, or go talk to so-and-so, or be a blessing to so-and-so," and you're like, "No, I'm not doing that." Let me give you an example.
