This is getting completely out of hand...

Friday night, Kyrie Irving, he dropped 35 points on the Rockets, 12 of 19 from the field.

Cooper Flagg had 33 points next to him, Dallas won by five, and Andy Houston, its first loss of the season.

And what were all the reporters talking about the next morning? Whether or not Kyrie Irving gets traded to Miami, then today, Detroit.

It's gotten completely out of hand, and quite frankly, I'm absolutely sick of it.

When you go back and read what was actually reported, it's even dumber than it initially sounds.

So I'm going to write down all these absurd reports surrounding Kyrie and getting traded and what this means going forward ahead of what's going to be an exciting, exciting game tomorrow as the Mavs look to improve to 5-2.

Let's rewind and talk about how this happened.

It started last Wednesday on the Pat McAfee show when Sham Sharani, I got asked about Kyrie and the Heat.

And here's exactly what he said.

They're going to be monitoring Kyrie Irving, but there's going to be several teams monitoring Kyrie Irving.

Monitoring, that's the word.

Not an offer, not talks, not a deal on the table.

but monitoring and that several teams are doing it, which is fair because every team in the league is monitoring every good player.

That's literally the job of a GM.

But the reason that it's so absurd is because there's been no indications, even a little bit, that the Mavericks are looking to trade Kyrie.

But Shams kept going.

The question is, if you're Miami, what can you give for Kyrie Irving? I believe they have one first round pick eligible to be traded.

Is that enough for Kyrie? My sense is probably not.

I think the price would be higher than that.

And there you go.

He says probably not.

They're not trading Kyrie for a first-round pick.

And it's just gotten absolutely absurd, the amount of noise that has dropped surrounding Kyrie.

And I respect Shams Sharani.

Obviously, he's propelled some interesting Mavs propaganda over the years.
