Why Levy Rosman Belongs in the Conversation0:10 – 2:00

Matthew RichardsHost

0:10

I'm not talking today about the level of ability required to play chess.

Matthew RichardsHost

0:15

I'm not talking about world championship titles, because the person we're talking about in today's GOAT discussion about chess GOATs has never won a world title, is not one of the best chess players in the world.

Matthew RichardsHost

0:27

But if we're arguing and we're discussing GOATs, the greatest of all time at some point we're gonna have to discuss how they influenced the game and you could argue that the person we're discussing today international master not even grandmaster yet levy rosman no one has influenced the game more than him levy rosman has never won a world title he's never until this point maybe in the future he will become a grandmaster He's an international master with a peak rating as of recording of 2421.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:01

Matthew RichardsHost

The likes of Magnus Carlsen, who we've made a video about.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:10

The likes of Gary Kasparov and Bobby Fischer, who we will make videos about at some point.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:15

But yeah.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:17

Matthew RichardsHost

1:23

His YouTube channel became the first channel in history to cross a billion views about chess.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:29

A billion.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:31

Think about how many people learned what an impassant move.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:36

Learned impassant, learned the Vienna, learned the Caracan, learned the French, learned about Magnus Carlsen, learned about Hikaru Nakamura, learned about the best chess players in the world.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:46

By this guy in a hoodie.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:48

So, I know you want to, you know, nail me to a cross, or burn me at the stake, or do something, and you're angry in the comments, and disgusted in the comments.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:55

That's what they're there for.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:57

But we need to talk about it.

Matthew RichardsHost

1:59

We need to talk about it.
