Dewald KirstenHostYeah, I remember we were sitting around our workbench at the university in that time.
And already then, you know, we were looking for a leader and Martin stepped up, which was great.
So although we've been through many name changes and owners and that, we've, as a group of scientists and as an entity, we've stayed in the same place for almost 30 years which is quite quite remarkable so although the story has got many different facets to it there's been one thread which has been our home where we've where we've and that has grown and developed and we'll expand a little bit more on that but you know so when you talk about that transition you know Martin Martin as a really good scientist, and he did a lot of work on grapes.
And I think the reason that we are where we are was because we always tried to be one step ahead of the people who were giving us, you know, we were trying to be in charge of our own destiny.
So Martin was our first MD as you, I think you were a general manager because it wasn't a private company then.
And when we were brought over as a private company in 2013, then Dr. Jan Furie took over as MD.
And he ran the company until 2019 when he retired and then I took over from him.
where there's three MDs or two past MDs and myself and hopefully the future MD when I retire in a few years' time.
And it's that thread of, you know, people, we haven't lost, you know, Johan's got over 40 years' experience.
