Aug 20, 2026 · 1 hr 41 min · 13 segments
Thank you for joining us for our last episode of this month of August! We hope all of our August babies have had an amazing birthday and if you've not previously liked your birthstone, perhaps you're…
But before we get too far into today's subject, I did want to caveat this episode just a little bit.
Because for those of you who joined us for our June episodes, you may recall how June actually had a few extra birthstone options.
So if you are a Ju- a June baby and you don't like alexandrite, uh, you had a couple of alternatives that you could have, that you could have worn and enjoyed.
And very much like that, August, which is this month, obviously-
Mm-hmm
... is another one that technically has multiple birthstones.
So, uh, if you are not a big fan of the specific green that you get from peridot, uh, it's not the only, it's not the only gemstone that is available to you.
So if you don't like peridot, and you are an August baby, you can ch-
See you next week.
[laughs]
Yeah, right.
[laughs]
[laughs]
See you, see you in, uh, [laughs] see you in September for, for sapphires.
Um, but if you, if you don't like peridot, and we've done all of this research for you just to not like it, uh, you can choose to either wear spinel- ... or sardonyx.
Um, I tend to find that a number of people happen to like spinel, so it's definitely a really nice alternative.
Spinel comes in a lot of different colors as well, so you don't have to feel like you're restricted to just one color.
You, you do get pretty wide variety.
And after this episode, you will confidently, you will be able to confidently say that, "Technically, what I'm wearing is a peridot."
Yes.
So technically.
Technically.
A very far stretch, but technically.
Technically.
[laughs] So yeah, if you, if you don't like peridot, you have spinel as an option.
