Welcome back, everybody, to the Lose for Hughes podcast.

A little bit of a different episode today.

Finn is out of commission, unfortunately, today.

So Evan and I are going to save our – well, Evan, Finn, and I are going to save our bigger player report card episode for next week.

But today, Evan and I are just going to have a little bit of fun here.

You know, we've been seeing a lot of news recently about offer sheets, I think, in the NHL and just kind of like the overall landscape of that.

And I think like how that always in every single offseason, I think, Evan, you would agree with me.

Everyone always kind of just every NHL fan always talks about it, but they never seem to kind of happen.

But I think this year with a weaker, I would say a very weak UFA class and a lot of teams trying to become contenders, I think we actually in a lot of obviously with the rising cap as well, I think we're actually going to see that.

maybe some more offer sheet moves in there um i think also a lot of that could be attributed to what vegas has kind of done in playing this villain role here in the nhl i think teams rightfully should start acting a bit a little bit more ruthless and i think cunning and how they're kind of constructing their teams and even like if you look like a team like carolina We can talk about that a little bit later.

We've been seeing a lot of guys having this playoff success.

You know, Keandre Miller arguably should be in the consummate running right now.

And he was an offer sheet candidate that, you know, the Carolina Hurricanes threatened the Rangers with an offer sheet.

And eventually they had to work out a deal.

So although this conversation could be some people might think a little, I don't know.

whimsical because they just don't happen that much i think it is something that definitely warrants a discussion so um evan do you have any initial thoughts before we kind of get into this excited for this one
