Welcome back down to Cocktails and Shattered Dreams! This week, we board the 2022 action film, Bullet Train. Andy actually watched this high-speed thriller while stuck on a stationary Southeastern…
Go on then.
What's your one word reaction?
A lot.
I think there's a lot.
And Poppy wanted me to let you know, she was sat beside me when I was doing my notes, which I would say this week, I've got a Rob level of notes, I would say.
Oh, okay.
And I have put a
lot as...
I put a lot as two words and she corrected me to say that it's just one word and that she wanted you to know that she's been correcting my notes even when she's not on the pod because she knows how much you like it.
Yeah, I do.
It's one of my favorite fast times.
To be
fair, I would have spelled it in two
words as well.
So I think you're right.
I don't know why.
but you know it's funnier that she's great did you um anyway yeah sorry yeah it was i mean he says there's five assassins there's a lot to go on so but yeah maybe more than five actually the thing is
there's there's all these different assassins but some of them you get like an intro to like the wolf i just i i get it and i like i enjoy the wolf intro But also then none of the other people get that intro.
And so you're just a bit like, well, why do we care about this? It felt a bit Game of Thrones.
I guess you're right.
With an action film, it's the main stuff.
yeah it's hard isn't it because you want to keep the action going but yeah you're right i guess if you do you want to try and give some backstory and actually like the tangerine and lemon one's a really interesting one like obviously they do the whole scene with the killing which is great and that's funny yeah and then later on they do allude to like what they were actually sort of like you know brothers in as they were i guess and then when you know they're obviously in you know like whatever wherever they are but as children and like yeah I guess you could have developed that that a little bit more and there'd been a lot that you could have had to gone through there and then not done the other ones but yeah the wolf one is great isn't it it's so good because the way that it starts where Brad Pitt's about to get off the trade and then the wall's just there and he's kind of like kind of looking at him for his bucket hat and he's like what what it's a great scene
But why was Brad Pitt at the wedding? Because he wasn't actually there to murder them, right? Because the Hornet murdered them.
No, yeah,
Go on then.
