BREAKING -SOURCE: WVU’s Defense Heard the Mestemaker Hype. They’re Taking It Personally

Obviously, I talk to different people every week, and the rotation of people, I try not to bug people really before the games.

But in this case, somebody texted me and said, hey, have you seen this? And it was a video clip.

Of one of the guys, maybe it was Bustin' with the Boys.

I can't remember exactly who it was.

Big time, it was one of the bigger podcasters, if you will.

But they were a former pro athlete.

I think it may have been Bustin' with the Boys.

Talking about Oklahoma State potentially torturing this defense.

It may be somebody else.

But either way, they were like, what's up with this? Basically just asking me my opinion on it.

And I was like, well, I mean, the Deuce Bailey thing.

And they got really mad.

They were like, look, we were playing together for the very first time ever.

I would challenge anybody to go out there and play against a team that had a bunch of their players back on their team.

With a talented quarterback, he kept breaking contain.

It was game one, and we didn't know what was going to happen.

In game two, we were experimenting, right, which I've been saying for weeks.

But, I mean, you can see it on the field.

It's not like I wasn't guessing.

Literally, you could see Zach Alley experimenting with different play calls throughout the UT Martin game because it wasn't a game you could lose without something.

You'd have to have seven turnovers or something crazy for that.

So, outside of that, obviously, they felt like they put their best foot forward against the actual first challenge this team should have had this year.

And yet everybody says they kind of sucked, right? I mean, that's the narrative around this defense.

Oh, they can be had through the air.

They're upset about it.
