Ryan BlackburnHostRyan, how are you feeling today, my good friend, as we embark on yet another NBA journey together?
your boys had a good day uh it's nice to nice to be up and ready to go and it's tough when you're a nuggets fan and this is the second year in a row that you've had to wait as long as you have for the team to debut but the weight is finally over folks we're here to kick it off we're very excited to kind of get into the swing of things and around the nba there's there are a lot of interesting results from the first two games i'm sure we'll get into later in this show but Nuggets Thunder wouldn't want to start it any other way except with a much easier team.
Do you want to start the season with an easy team? Because I seem to remember the championship year they played Utah in game one and got blown out by 20-plus points because they didn't take them serious.
There was somebody last night that was actually pointing at the Utah Jazz being like, hey, why are you guys so high on the Utah Jazz? And I said, look at what this Nuggets team that won the title looked like when they had to go on the road and face the Utah Jazz of the Colin Sexton and those particular years.
A lot of weird things can happen on opening night, and that's one of the reasons why the Nuggets have a really good chance tonight if they approach things from the right way.
But it's a lot of fun to kind of get back into the swing of things, man, to talk about actual basketball.
Language is interesting, man, because...
Now, Denver doesn't think about it like this, right? And I actually want to talk to you about the – yesterday, you know, you held a practice scrum.
And they all spoke very highly of OKC.
You know, they – it's like a respectful rivalry thing.
The players are very aware of who's who and how they defend and how they play.
Adam even highlighted they went over a lot of the coverages they saw, in particular in the Thunder series a month ago during the start of training camp and all that.
And Ryan, when we're looking at this team, man, Adam talked about it.
Everything they do offensively is built around Shea, but they have so many different things they can do to attack you now, especially with the personnel and stuff that they had.
But if I had to ask you this, What are you most looking forward to tonight? Like, what are you most looking to see from this Denver Nuggets team since you haven't watched them play a serious game since the end of April, basically?
And the way that it ended was obviously drastically horrible for what Nuggets fans were expecting to have happen.
So I would like to see and what I'm hoping to see from Denver is a group that understands and appreciates that and wants to kind of hit the ground running from game one and knowing that they have to.
