Colorado Avalanche silence the Tampa Bay Lightning with Nathan MacKinnon’s explosive four-point night. Is this the start of another dominant run for the Avs? Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson break down…
But what we're going to do is break down this avalanche win over the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-3.
If nothing else, you just get that icky vibe after that back-to-back on the road away for a little while.
It's not like... and against Calgary or anything like that, but you didn't right the ship against a team that's really not expected to do a ton.
Tampa Bay's been playing very well, and they're a good team, and they're a difficult team, and you saw it.
Even though the score was 6-3, you did get the empty netter to expand that lead a little bit more.
This is a very good team, so you are happy that the Avalanche – put those two games away and came out and played like you knew that they could play.
And they played like you knew they could play while still kind of facing some adversity throughout it.
I would say as well, which I actually makes me feel better because if you roll out and like, let's say Tampa came out and just had a terrible game, like just an off game for them and they looked bad and, You might be, well, you know, the Avs had things to clean up, but Tampa didn't really push them anywhere.
Man, is it nice having 12, 12 and six back on the ice? They mentioned it on the broadcast a couple of times and you could see it pretty quickly into this game.
And I, for one, am hugely thrilled to have Logan O'Connor back because he is such an awesome player
But I think the difference in this game was just, you know, you jump out to that early lead.
