[clapping] If you're new to LifeCenter, you may not know this, but every single August...
Well, first of all, hi, good morning.
[laughs] I, I wanna say hello to those of you who are joining us in online or Kanata in Cornwall.
It's my honor to be at all of our LifeCenter churches today.
Um, but in the summer, in August, uh, we take a, over and above our tithes, we take an offering one time a year called LifeCenter Cares.
And it's an opportunity for us then, throughout the rest of the entire year, to love our church and also the city well.
And in saying that, last year you gave just north of $50,000 over and above your tithes, just to be able to be a blessing to those in need in our community, but also those in need within our church.
And, uh, I wanna let you know this year what you did.
Uh, you didn't give $50,000.
You didn't give $60,000.
You didn't give $70,000.
Wow.
You gave 74,000.
[clapping] $518 and 66 cents.
And every cent of it is going to go to loving and caring for our church and our city well.
Last year, we, we packed 1,000 backpacks.
Because of your generosity this year, we packed 1,200 backpacks.
[clapping] We, we, we had organizations that are city-funded saying, "Could you help us?" And we as the church said, "Yes, we can." [clapping] Awesome.
So I'd like to start this ministry year by prayerfully asking something of you.
Would you create space for the Holy Spirit to move afresh in you? Only you can say yes to that.
Would you also, though, do the same in your sphere of influence, the world that you touch? Would you begin to pray every day, "Holy Spirit, how do you wanna use my life?" And then begin to notice how He wants to use your life and, and, and take courageous steps of faith into saying yes.
You know, as, as a church, Orleans added a third service a couple years ago.
And today, our Kanata campus is adding a third service on Sunday morning.
It's creating space.
[clapping] And so Kanata, we're cheering you on and we're celebrating, and you need strength.
You need strength.
