A lot of people hear the word hope and think it's kind of like wishful thinking and positive vibes.
When we think about hope and the kind of misconception about it, where I think it often lands is being mistaken for optimism.
The sale will happen, or I'm optimistic for this relationship to go well.
And our sense of this being good is attached to the outcome being what we want it to be.
When we think about hope, ultimately hope is interchangeable more with the word trust.
It's trusting that it will unfold, it will be, and it's going to be all right.
And so it's being able to have that steadfast state of knowing that I don't know all the controllables.
that I will be okay, the people I love most will be okay, we're going to be able to get through whatever comes our way.
So hope to me is this steadfast trust that whether it's God, whether it's the universe, whatever you choose to put your energy towards, it's knowing that we are safe, we are protected, and we will be well.

Okay, so you say that hope changes the brain and the body in measurable ways.
