Michelle JamesHostSo, uh, today, where we are today is our building, Inclusio, which to the best of our knowledge, is the only Rick Hansen Gold Medal accredited multi-unit residential facility in Canada.
And so we're very proud to achieve, uh, to have achieved the Gold Medal accreditation, which means that, um, we are deeply and consciously accessible.
Each of our units here ha- are fully independent, and so each unit has its own bathroom, its own, uh, kitchen, and we also provide food services on site in a really beautiful setting.
We're set on the slopes of Confederation Park, and we are exactly eight minutes away from owning our building and the land outright.
We also have a, a really important program called our Bridge to Home program, where we employ eight highly trained and specialized social workers who work with folks in Calgary who are in the midst of exiting homelessness.
So when we think about sort of poverty and homelessness, we know that folks with disabilities are over-represented in that population of our, of our community members.
And so that program works with 60 people through a 12 to 18-month period to help them secure housing in community, sometimes through our h- social housing partners, sometimes in this very building.
We also have our RAD program, which is renovation and accessible design, which is where we work with individuals and families to make their homes accessible.
Often this, they come to us after either a significant injury, like a profound injury, or sometimes folks who have degenerative conditions who would like to age in place, or who would actually like to have their end of life be in their homes.
And the folks that live there receive most of their sort of medical care that they require in the overnight period, and many of them go off to work every day.
And so it's our privilege to be able to provide them supports in the overnight period that allows them then to, to head off into community and, uh, do the work that they love.
