Molkinstis is the home of the Treaty 7 people, the Blackfoot or Nitsitapi of Siksika, Kainai, and Pagani, the Beaver people of Tsutsina, and the Stony Nakoda of Morley, which includes Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Westly First Nations.

We're also walking in the footsteps of Métis Region 3, so we acknowledge all of the families and the history that is steeped into this land.

For those generations of the past and those generations yet to be born, remember we are all treaty people.

I have a Blackfoot name, and I have a really good rapport with a number of folks on...

We have three tribes up here in Alberta, so we have Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai.

And so I have an, I have good relationships with a number of folks on tho- in those groups.

So I just run things by folks before I do things, and they're actually very supportive.

And so the Blackfoot Confederacy is the Blackfeet Nation south of the U.S.-Canadian imposed border.

We have the Siksika, Ghanai, and Bagani.

And then Because of Treaty 7, signed in 1877, we have the Stony Nakota, which is the Wesley, or now Good Stony, Chinooki and Bearspaw tribes, as well as Tsutina, who are Maidene cousins as well.

And I acknowledge all First Nation, Métis, Inuit status and non-status across Turtle Island as the keepers of these lands.

This podcast is created on the current and traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy, comprised of the Siksika, the Bikini, and the Kainai First Nations, the Tsutina First Nation, and the Stony Nakota, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stony First Nations, as well as the Métis Nation within Alberta, including Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elba Métis District 6, whose knowledge systems and approaches to understanding our world have sustained communities for thousands of years.
