Yes, yes, there's a lot of clergymen who are pushing for that legislation, and they are backed up by Christian conservative groups in the US, as well as elsewhere, like in Russia, for example, and in Europe, because they give them enough infrastructure to move forward with entire rights legislation on the continent.
They are part of, I would say, an ecosystem of nationalistic movement who are fighting against what they call gender ideology.
