But I wanted to start today's show, and I have Dr. Garcia and Kevin Stockford coming in.

I wanted to start today's show talking about one of my favorite topics, which are Medicare star ratings.

If you listen to this show, I was an executive on the insurance side for many years.

Um, now I do a lot of consulting and become an entrepreneur and do this show.

But I was, I was an executive that ran health plans and, and particularly Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and the ACA.

So I'm a government specialist.

Don't really know as much about commercial insurance.

I was on the board of directors for GenCon Insurance for a four-year term.

So I've seen this movie at the board of directors level.

I've seen this movie as a healthcare executive.

I've seen it when I was coming up in healthcare at the managerial level.

But over the years, I've learned a lot about leadership.

I've learned a lot about reaching out to members, what works, what doesn't, how to run the analytics, the importance of claims management, value-based care construct, um, in network from a contracting point of view.

And this business will humble you so the very moment that you think that you know it all, the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services will, will completely change the program.

And I've been blessed.

I have phenomenal mentors.

I have some of my mentors on the show periodically, but I, I have phenomenal mentors Just to name a few, when I was at Kettering Health, Joan Swinson was a great mentor.

I was just getting into this business.

When I was at Arizona Blue, Darren Weathers, Dr. Darren Weathers.

Chuck Sowers was my boss out there.

He was the, the CEO of the health plan that I worked for.

I've worked with some really phenomenal people.

I've worked with a lot of ass hats too.

Can I say that? I can say that now.

I've worked with a lot of ass hats [chuckles] as well, that they didn't know what the hell they were doing.
