Lax Class 414 - Comeau / Merrill

I'm debating whether I even talk about this whole Alpha Lacrosse League stuff, Jake, but I feel like it's kind of taken the lacrosse world by storm a little bit.

Somebody referred to it as...

the fire fest lacrosse league which i think might be the best way to describe this i don't know where you come out man but i will just say this to any player out there who is considering playing in this league just make sure you do your due diligence

before you get involved with this

like if you're making a decision like hey i'm not gonna play for the Brooklyn Lacrosse Club this summer, I'm going to go play in this Alpha Lacrosse League because they've offered me 60K.

Don't be burning bridges until the money is in the bank account.

I'll just say that because the more I see about this guy in charge of this league and what he has done and been through and changing names and being arrested and financial backing and, like, it is...

I...

I've never quite seen anything like this.

And this is exactly why I don't talk about these upstart kickstart leagues until I see actual games played with actual players and actual buildings.

But this whole thing is so wild to me.

All these things that are coming to light and false identities and stuff and the numbers I've been hearing thrown around like, Just for an example, I heard Tanner Kutzman offered 60 grand to play in this league.

But I've also heard that they offered Joe Hall a contract.

What are we doing here? Does Joe even play field lacrosse? I don't know.

So I just, I want everybody to be careful before they play.

They sign their life away and get involved with something or go pay a training camp fee to go combine, to go try out.

I think that's already

happened.

A few combines and a few guys already paid.

And I saw one video a few weeks ago from one of the combines, one of the players.

I forget the name, but...

He was showing videos.

He was probably paid to do it.

But he's like, this is real.

There's guys here and this, that.
