Kraken Up! Podcast – Episode 21: featuring Greg Cummings of Guru’s WorldThis week we kicked it with our buddy Greg Cummings the man behind Guru’s World on YouTube. We got into everything… Losi…
What do you think of those Losey NASCARs, just in
I like it when we all get the same junk, and you have to make it fast, because it's not really a race car.
But
racers will turn it into a race car with all the fine-tuning and getting that tenth out of it, trying to get that tenth out of it.
I went back there the week and was way off, and then the fast guys helped me get me back in the – at least in the range there, but I'm still a few tenths off.
Do you guys run, like, box stock rules, or do you allow upgrades? It's box stock, minus they're allowing a Helios battery, and then there's a Power Hobbies, I think, a 2000.
I don't know why they're doing that, but I didn't trim anything off my car as far as the plugs and stuff, so if I do go somewhere, I'm still...
Yeah.
yeah we've been running it since it came out um kind of all over the place everyone has them it's always the biggest class and the the thing i love about it the most is so how we run it the only thing you're allowed to change is the radio you can run your like proper radio um but it's the cars drive like crap for the most part they don't really track well like but like everyone has the same car and the racing is awesome like a couple of the ones we were at last year i think there was 28 29 of them and they ran 12 in a main and from qualifying from first to 12 i think was like half a lap difference
yeah that's the way we were last week this was uh just kind of an impromptu money race it's like 60 bucks to win so it wasn't like we want to fight over it but They got 22 cars, and then they run the truck class, and they run the exact same rules, just truck body.
I would like to see a difference in speed, honestly, but I don't know how you would do it, honestly, without changing the car.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was one thing I was nervous about and I hope doesn't go down that path is when Horizon and ProLine started having all these different tires and different bodies.
I was hoping that everyone wouldn't develop 15 different versions of the class and then all the classes have five cars in them.
I know we would probably tend to make a modified class or an open class, but That's going to, I don't know, it's going to take the fun out of it, I think.
I think we need to just keep ourselves under control and try to stay in that box.
Yeah.
I mean, the way I always see it is like stuff like that is like that, like 1RC, like that's meant to be kind of a box stock racing.
