Masjid Al Falaah - 23rd October 2026 - 'Jumuah Bayaan' with Mufti Adam Esmail

Not Imam Mahdi.

This man, his name was Mahdi.

And this man Mahdi was a man who had immense wealth, lived a life of luxury, indulged in worldly pleasures and pursuits, and at the same time lived a life of sin.

He didn't miss his salah though.

So this man named Mahdi, extremely wealthy, extremely sinful, he committed every sin.

But he was very particular with his salah.

It's mentioned regarding him that one particular day, he was so busy in wining, in dining, in merrymaking, dancing, raving, that he missed his fajr.

He missed his dhar.

He missed his asr.

He's missed his maghrib.

And in this condition, he comes home and he goes to sleep.

And he's about to miss his ishaar.

He had a slave girl, and this slave girl was very concerned regarding her master.

She was pious, she was practicing, and she would serve him.

So she devised a plan.

How can I awaken my master from the life of negligence and heedlessness, running away from Allah and bringing him back towards Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala? She takes a candle, lights a flame, Where the master is sleeping, she brings the flame beneath his heel and she lights and she allows the heel of the master to burn.

And after a few moments, he screams, he wakes up from his sleep.

What are you doing? What are you doing? That's painful.

You're out of your mind.

The slave girl says, Master, this is just the fire of this world.

If you can't tolerate the fire of this world, how are you going to tolerate the fire of Jahannam? You have missed your Fajr.

Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, that's fire upon fire upon fire upon fire.

This one message was enough to change his heart.

This man Mahdi decided to downgrade.

He abandoned his life of luxury.
