Who are even the major favorites right now? And the reason I, I want to talk about this is firstly, I was just looking around the scene.
I was looking at h- how things were progressing, you know, from where we started this season, the, how the narratives shaped up to where we are now, where...
Is it me, or are we just in a spot where Vitality are favorites for every event again, every event they play? And so I want to take those other guys, those other rosters that were supposed to be our trump cards, our, our counters to them, and discuss why exactly it's not working and why we don't consider them...
Well, at least myself, I don't consider them.
We'll see what the, uh, the consensus here.
Why we don't consider them favorites.
So let's begin actually with Mouz.
'Cause they're the ones I always get the most sort of comments about.
Like, people do have quite a high opinion of Mouz.
They like the Counter-Strike they play.
I don't see them as a favorite for the major.
I don't see them as, you know, likely to win it.
It's not a terrible chance that they do well there, but I just don't see them winning it.
I don't see them winning essentially multiple best of threes against the likes of Falcon, Spirit, and Vitality.
Uh, what are your guys' reads on this Mouz team now that we've seen them play quite a few events, lose a final but play really good CS leading up to it, but then, you know, get absolutely demolished in that final really.
Um, what are your takes on Mouz, and do you think they have, you know, another gear to find to potentially enter that favorite status?
The f- I mean, the funny thing is, is that it, it's, it's almost similar to how it was last year except they're just in less finals and they're in, uh, and Vitality are also in less finals.
It's, it just seems as though...
I mean, we have the same sort of narrative build-up fr- build-up from last year where it's like, oh, they won a tournament, but Vitality weren't attending.
They did win a tournament this year, but Vitality didn't make it to the, to the final to be sort of their, uh, the disruptor or the, the someone that stops them from getting i- into that trophy position.
So it's, it's strange because it seems like they need to be in this situation where they, they can't play against, you know, another, another one of these large contenders that don't have one of these massive flaws that we can point to.
Um, and, you know, Spirit are...
I mean, we'll get into these other teams later, but Mouz just again have gone younger or have gone to less experienced pieces, and I think they're encountering similar issues as the sort of s- uh, the, the speed bump in terms of becoming a, a proper contender championship team.
Yeah, the brutal thing is I actually think literally it's just Vitality and Spirit at the moment, isn't it? Aren't they the only ones that you could see both being a true favorite, getting to the major as a favorite and also winning the major? Like, the real problem is you, if you look at placings, you're supposed to put Mouz in there, but I think a lot of people are in the same boat as me.
Even though I definitely undervalued Mouz when they made the roster moves, I actually feel like now this period they've just had is, like, slightly fool's gold.
