talking about K-POP pop-ups in korea | Kinda Cringe Podcast

Mark Lee is supposed to have his solo debut for the first time, like, since leaving, and and i saw a clip on it and it was like my friend or something oh my god did i save it my personal opinion especially in contrast to the first fruit i don't like it like his solo stuff in SM is so like I love it but this one I it doesn't sound like any of his other stuff which I guess is like the point of him leaving SM and NCT as a whole was to quote unquote you know follow his own like musical musical path but if this is the path i'm like oh i sent it to my friends i was like oh no i kind of don't like it and their responses was like oh it's very like walmart walmart ah song like target mall shopper song and i'm like it is it is very like mall friendly song and then another one said he's got no neo left in his blood and i think that's what i think that's what it is more than anything is that it's it's just so not neo where's the least of the you know golden child um the first fruit they still have that little the little neo vibe like 82 pressing like that's so neo but this this no neil left no neil left in his blood that's for sure i like you know what since this is just a clip he posted i don't know if this is the chorus or not we'll find out but also like if if if he releases like an ep or something that's all kind of like emotional simple songs then like Maybe you'll like it more collectively.

Like, with the first...

Where, like, all of it has such a good narrative.

Like, maybe...

Maybe if he does something with that.

I don't know.

This is kind of how I feel with, like, Evan or whatever the...

He sung when he left and hyphened and then re-debuted as Evan.

His song...

I was like, oh! Okay.

You left for this.

Interesting.

It's just... it's very underwhelming where it's not like that evan song this song mark lee song they're not bad songs obviously like they're really not bad songs it's just like of of this being like your comeback like you're you're making your mark on the world as solo artist mark lee not affiliated with any k-pop industry anymore it's like oh you're we're not going with like like a world changing song, we're going with this one.

Okay, we're playing it safe, okay.

And same with Evan, like his ride or die or whatever.

I was like, oh, we're like playing it safe, okay.

Instead of like making up an impact.

So I think that's what it is.

It's like, we're not making a statement.

We're just kind of like, it's like a soft launch instead of like being aggressive.

But like your actions can't be soft.

Like you made giant decisions, especially Mark Lee without like our fans knowing of like you leaving NCT, being the golden child, being quote unquote the perfect idol.

and leaving it all to come back with like a soft launch like this i was like no come on and then him finally adjusting addressing all the rumors like what six months later three months later whatever it was too much time on a live where he misspoke.

I was like, what are you doing my guy? Like, I'm still gonna follow him.

Me personally, I'm still curious.
