Retired FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong revisits the case of Richard Ramirez, the Night Stalker, through the eyes of the man who cracked it. While Los Angeles dominated the headlines…
Candice DeLongHostWell, Candace, to be honest with you, this is my belief as an investigator who worked 300 murder cases.
You have to hate yourself so much and hate society so much to go out and commit crimes like this.

And the vast majority of them that became premeditated killers, serial killers or other types, mass killers sometimes, most of them just had horrendous upbringings.
So my personal favorite case was the Night Stalker only because of the competition I witnessed between LAPD, LASO.
I have to honestly say, I think pulling those reports, finding my son Dan's report from the Sharan burglary, is how that case eventually fell together.

In your opinion, what do you think is the biggest misconception about the Night Stalker case? You know it like the back of your hand.
