So I do think it is a social contagion I can't say that any one person kind of navigated me down the path.
I was part of the gay scenes.
I was around people from different lifestyles.
I was around transsexuals, transgenders, transvestites, all the trans.
I was around drag queens, gays, lesbians, you know, and being told off of, you know, even being told off gay men that, oh, you're very effeminate.
And then I was getting told off the trans identified individuals.
Like, oh, you're like I was.
And I turned out to be trans.

You wear makeup.
And bearing in mind at this time, Kelly, I was drinking a lot.
I was taking drugs.
I was trying to block out the trauma that I had at 18 when I was raped.

I'm in a very vulnerable, intoxicated state all the time.

And I heard it that much, I believed it.
Yes, struggling all that time mentally.
I went through homelessness.
