So I asked, I can like, Hey, like, should we start couples therapy? Um, Because you have been talking about it, and I had Leah Vandale on Coffee Convos podcast, and she was talking about her and her husband going to it.

Ike and I don't have problems, but when we do, because inevitably every couple will face challenging times, not just like... uh, an argument, but like, sometimes people go through like periods of it, like literal weeks, months, whatever.

And I'm like, should we go so that we're like prepared to deal with it? And he was open to it.

I just, my biggest thing is like, I want to do things differently so that I have the tools for success moving forward.

Like, I don't want to go, um, just give up because we have encountered something.

And so what I wanted to ask you about that, cause I saw the picture of you guys getting sushi before couples therapy.

When you guys go to couples therapy and you guys are not arguing, right? Like you're not going through something like that.

I think it's the thing that I really, really like about our couples therapist is that she and she told us this before we started was that like, there's a lot of individual healing that needs to happen from a person.

And like, often, it sounds like some of the sessions may feel like it's just like, her and one of the partners in the couple like uncovering things that are hurting them and it's really good for their partner to hear it like to hear like the reasons why they're thinking like this the reasons why they're doing it it's almost like an individual therapy session but like your partner is involved because it helps them understand you more so Obviously, Leah and I are going through shit, so we have enough to talk about, but there are frequent times in our sessions where Leah will say something about her childhood, and then that will be a conversation that starts happening, and me getting insight into how she feels and how she operates in conversation because of shit that happened or because of shit she's going through.

It helps you see that other person for the reasons why they're, they will or how they will act like their pain and things of those sorts.

I mean, I don't know where I would find time for that, but I would, you know, I, you have to go.

Also, it's because when issues come about, there's something about someone else telling you something than your partner.
