Jungle Roar Bengals Clamp Down Texans 20-6, Hope, Hype Building For Good Reason

Absolutely.

I mean, they still have not hit their stride offensively, right? And the defense just keeps getting better and better.

Remember the mantra of last week was, well, forced turnovers are not sustainable.

And how do you win with that? They didn't force them to punt.

Well, they forced him to punt today over and over and over.

And, yeah, he got a little bit lucky on the bad snap on the field

goal.

But for the most part – and I hate to do this.

I'm going to quote Lou Anarumo, the former Bengals' defensive coordinator.

Yards don't equal points.

And he's right.

They don't.

They can, but they don't.

And so – So the Texans threatened a couple of times, a few times, but they never threatened enough to score until late that last drive of the game where they almost got a touchdown.

So what? It would have been a 20-13 win, which would have been just as equally as satisfying.

So this is two straight weeks this defense has done different things to win games.

You know, for a while they pressured and didn't sack, and then they did sack.

And said Johnson has two sacks, for goodness sakes.

I mean, who had that on the bingo card today? Jamar Stewart

had a sack.

He had a sack, you're right.

I mean, that equaled last year's total, and he's got half the total he had at Texas A&M.

This was the win today that you went, hmm.

Last week was at home, and you forced four turnovers, and yeah, it's cute and all that stuff.

Today was the win where you're like, huh, this is a pretty good football team and still has not played their best on offense.
