Dalton Schultz

Um, I'm pretty nervous with like a healthy Drake London, um, and a tough matchup in week one to, to go here, but maybe he just gets a lot of short targets from Tua, who knows? Um, if you drafted Pitts, you're probably starting him, but I do think there are other options you could consider whose offensive environment feel better to me in week one.

Mentioned Dalton Schultz earlier.

I think he's gonna be the number two target in Houston.

Really a, an underrated player.

Um, so I do have Schultz ranked ahead of Jake Ferguson.

Um, and I think comparing those two might surprise you.

If you just look at the, uh, the pa- well, since Schultz got, you know, since the Cowboys moved on from Schultz and Ferguson took over for him, um, he's been every bit as good as Ferguson on a per opportunity basis.

Yards per route run, slight edge to Schultz.

So this is a year where he could make, you know, that multi-year big time contract.

You know, kinda like what Dalton Schultz saw a couple years ago.

These tight ends, if they could ball out in their, in their year, tha- that, that...

And in this year with these late round tight ends, give me Dalton Schultz, give me Juan Johnson, give me T.J. Hockenson.

He had a good year last year, but also, he failed to score more than 8.9 points eight times in 17 games.

Tight end's a dumpster fire.

I just don't love Dalton Schultz this week.

Rebooting again, and if you look at the, the lineup around him, the erstwhile Dalton Schultz, who I think just narrowly misses out on Props list usually most years, but an honorable mention.

So his two main weapons are gone.

right at the beginning of the game and he's playing in a blizzard and he hadn't played well in cold yes he didn't play well there were some terrible mistakes you could feel like if he threw it into the ground the whole game they probably win the game because the defense was that awesome but yeah i mean there you go that's what happened last year

I keep seeing him on my mentions and how he's ascended and becoming a trusted piece for CJ.

Tight end working the middle of the field if you're Dalton Schultz matched up against an iffy linebacker.

Bill's back end, solid, but there's not an elite, elite cornerback or a heavy, thumping, full game, full field safety player.

I think the Bills are kind of a middle of the pack defense.

And of course, no starters play real time.

In many cases, no time during preseason.

So to be ready to play a full game of offense, does Blake Fisher get on the field? Do they use a sixth offensive lineman as much as they did last year now that they have 39 tight ends on the roster? A couple of them added specifically to hopefully add a blocking component beyond what Dalton Schultz does as a tight end.

And the offensive line, it's probably the most important unit for continuity.
