Mike Davenport ran the Jim's Group training program for many years, moved to Bali, and has now returned to run the course again. His first session back, the stage flooded and the power went out. Jim…
Joel KleberHostWe've probably so when I came back and we had a bit of a look at it a lot of learning outcomes that have disappeared if you know what I mean so we'd spent 15 to 20 years building that program and just little things popping in would then come into training and that way franchisees really got everything, if you know what I mean.
And then sort of when I've come back and I've gone through all the learning outcomes that were not there, I've just sort of realised that, geez, there's a fair bit franchisees are missing.
And we think two and a half will be the right balance in that sense because we run a bit of first aid training and things after it in the afternoon.

So we're going to put on the screen now, Charles, put on the screen the actual agenda.

So do you want to maybe run through the agenda for people who are looking at gyms or maybe want to know a little bit about what they're actually learning?
You know, things like the franchise agreement, the disclosure document, understanding what's in your inbox, if you know what I mean.
So franchisees, well, they don't need to know it, you know, at the back of their hand, but they need to have a pretty good understanding because if they can understand what's happening and what's coming, then they can sort of maneuver around and plan for it from that point of view so um our franchise agreement and disclosure document conversation starts off early everyone's paying different sets of fees everyone's paying different types of advertising you know what i mean and so one of the things we try and um cater for is that when they go down to lunch all of a sudden they're not chatting to someone going well how come you're only paying a thousand and i'm paying 15 yeah like and we just try and expose it up in the room and just talk openly about it so We share lead fees.
People think we probably pay all the same lead fee, but we've got a lead fee between $10 and probably about $80.
So we've gone back and have a big chat about that sort of stuff, understanding the agreement a little bit, and understanding that summary of the agreement.
