Na klar.
K

The Literacy Crisis: If It’s a Right, Why Is It Still a Privilege?
O

We don't really make it through that whole cycle before we start over.
O
43:32Octavia Gray-EssexMODERATOR
And again, that being said, engaging in a continuous improvement by evaluating the progress, identifying successes and adjusting where needed, because clarity creates coherence and coherence makes that sustained action possible.
O
43:49Octavia Gray-EssexMODERATOR
And so we have spent today talking about what that requires from the system level that actually creates the conditions and then the classroom level where we see that played out.
O
44:00Octavia Gray-EssexMODERATOR
And so now I'd like to turn it over to Jesse Strobin to share how that same idea of connection and coherence is actually shaping Lexia's work.
Find Your Leadership BEAT: Heartnomics with Hanna Bauer
H
11:56Hanna BauerGUEST
The burnout, doing too many things.
H
11:59Hanna BauerGUEST
Actually, when the pressure hits and misalignment, in Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement, we have what we call the eight wastes.
H
12:06Hanna BauerGUEST
So a lot of the waste is like the over, the over something.
H
12:09Hanna BauerGUEST
So we start overproducing, over processing.
Episode #231: Brooks Williams – Turning Around a Divided City in Ferris, Texas
B
9:08Brooks WilliamsGUEST
We now have two and a half people in our municipal court, and we collect over $2.5 million a year.
B
9:14Brooks WilliamsGUEST
So that gives you an idea of what efficiency and process improvement can do.
B
9:19Brooks WilliamsGUEST
You can reduce your staff and increase your output, but when I got there, what I had to do was look at my staff, see who was capable of going on the journey that I knew we were going to have to go on.
B
9:27Brooks WilliamsGUEST
And in a small town, that's difficult because a lot of the staff come from the small town.
What's the Biggest Challenge Facing Continuous Improvement Organisations in the UK Right Now?
M

Welcome along to the Eversaleen podcast.

I'm Matt Sims, and this is where we get into the real stuff that drive great leadership, high performance, and a thriving culture of continuous improvement.
M
0:11Matt SimsHOST
I chat openly and honestly with people who've been there and done it.
M
0:14Matt SimsHOST
The kind of leaders who create real impact, not just in numbers, but in the way their teams think, feel, and perform.
M
1:22Matt SimsHOST
We've currently got 130 members, which is just mind blowing.
M
1:27Matt SimsHOST
Really pleased with that.
M
1:28Matt SimsHOST
And the whole purpose of creating the group was to create a LinkedIn community for UK folk that are practicing CI or working within organizations that are doing continuous improvement or chasing high performance.
M
1:41Matt SimsHOST
And what we found there was a gap we couldn't find anywhere that was heavily advertised, easy to find or hidden under a rock even that gave us an opportunity to mix with other people on LinkedIn that are doing similar roles and sharing similar experiences.

I mean, I was very blessed to learn from Toyota about their Toyota production system when I was in college.
A
25:33Andrew KoenigGUEST
I went and visited them during my spring break in Japan.
A
25:37Andrew KoenigGUEST
And they live by this philosophy called the Toyota production system, which it is really a continuous improvement methodology.
A
25:46Andrew KoenigGUEST
I wished the world would learn from Toyota and that continuous improvement methodology to build better organizations, philanthropic organizations, hospitals.
Continuous Improvement Has a Community Problem

It's been really interesting.
M

So the organisation delivers Yellow Belt, which is not an apprenticeship, and then moved into delivering the Level 4 Improvement Practitioner, which is the Green Belt, which unfortunately has just been defunded.

Episode 368: We Can Totally Fit That Somewhere
M
17:29Mike GerhartGUEST
If you're not, you're going to have a problem staying in business in today's landscape.
M
17:34Mike GerhartGUEST
So, I mean, if your brewery is not, you know, it doesn't have a continuous improvement mindset, you're losing the game, right? So it's like, even if you're not up against it to Garrett's point, you know, can we shave cycle times? Can we, you know, lower our losses? Can we boost our brew house efficiency? Can we run higher operating efficiencies on our packaging equipment? If you're not, you should, you should be looking at that stuff.
M
18:02Mike GerhartGUEST
Even if you have empty tanks and you're, you're not up against your capacity, that's, that's kind of, uh, in today's climate, you know, you should be thinking that in the worst of times and the best of times, frankly.

But I guess to the point you were making, Vaughan, there is so much behind the scenes that goes into model development.
J
16:15James FieldPANELIST
And even in our current model range now around material selection testing and certification testing in both the fea which is finite element analysis perspective all of our suspension all of our chassis are engineer certified by a qualified and certified engineer by the government here in australia as well as real world testing a real life testing and in particular you three gentlemen probably do a lot of that heavy lifting still within the business and all of that stuff you feed back into our teams for continuous improvement but to the to the point where our suspension arms our chassis we are sourcing steel from places that other factories don't even know exist from reputable suppliers that have the correct certification we have the mill certificates for everything we do even to the point where our safety chains we are batch testing them in australia for every batch so we go the extra mile because we want to be able to stand by our product from the very very start so When we're doing the chassis design, full off-road is a no-brainer for us.
J
17:17James FieldPANELIST
We have to be able to do full off-road for our off-road product.
J
17:20James FieldPANELIST
We're certifying it to that.
