and the many layers of meaning that are connected to Sukkot, because Sukkot is a rather confusing festival, right? It is many things at once.

In English, when you see an English translation of the Bible, it's often translated as the Feast of Booths, which always cracks me up.

If you see an older fashioned one, it might be translated the Feast of Tabernacles.

I'm not sure what a tabernacle is.

But the main thing about Sukkot is the Sukkot.

So that's the place to start to some extent.

But it's not just the sukkah that makes up the significance of Sukkot.

It's also the agricultural significance of the harvest.

I'll do my best to draw wheat.

What does wheat look like guys? Something like that.

That's wheat.

You'd have to take my word for it.

And it's also the climactic and seasonal significance of rain.

That's raindrops.

We have all three.

We have all three parts of it.

But what we're talking about when we say Sukkot is more than just Sukkot, right? It is at least three holidays, although kind of two holidays, although kind of four holidays, depending on how you count.

So some words we need to understand.

One is Sukkot itself and what exactly that is.

Then there's the ever questionable Shemini Atzeret.

If anyone knows what Shemini Atzeret is, bonus points, because no one knows.

And then there is the more popular, although equally as misunderstood, Simchat Torah.
