Um, you gotta decide, America, how this happens.

Um, we- well, how is it that we have school shooting season? Uh, 'cause it is a season, you realize.

Typically, schools are not shot, schools are in session, you see.

Then you can be prepared, because at some point, uh, during the, that school year, some school is gonna be shot up somewhere.

Now, I'm not making fun of it.

I am describing it.

I can tell you, when I was growing up, we didn't have school shooting season.

I can tell you, throughout the, the, uh, integration era, there was no school shooting season.

I don't know of one school.

I mean, you heard the two, four, six, eight, we don't wanna integrate, and needless to say, it took US Marshals to escort a one-year-old to school there in Louisiana.

Took the, uh, took the, uh, the, the paratroopers there in Little Rock, Arkansas to escort nine children to school.

But we never had that shooting up.

Doesn't that sound odd to you, America? Now, just think about it.

In all these, uh, uh, white bigots, I mean, with the mothers and fathers screaming with their children, hating for a one-year-old little girl to go to school with their bouncing babies, nobody got shot at.

But now we have school shooting season.

God, what is it they hate? What is it so bad about school now, after all? [laughs] I mean, integration's over.

I mean, I'm sorry, uh, not in some areas.

Uh, you still have it here in Mississippi.

Uh, segregation, I mean.

Uh, but, but I mean, it's not like you're going to a Mississippi academy.

You got private schools getting shot up.

One, what, two weeks ago? Now, I know that you've probably not heard this point of view, and you probably won't hear this point of view except from me, because I'm a very practical guy.

And I'm a student of history, [laughs] 'cause I lived during those days.
