Now for a quick cover description.

This cover is by Michael Golden.

Indiana Jones stands pistol-ready in his light blue corner box, the title logo is reddish-orange with white highlights, and the main action depicts Indiana Jones leaping onto the caboose of a moving train with a golden ceremonial mask tucked under his arm, and Jesse Hale is trying to help him get aboard.

And of course, he's being chased by nefarious gunmen on horseback.

And now for a quick story synopsis.

Jesse Hale is an old colleague of Indy's and when she requests a translator from the American Institute for Natural History, they send Dr. Jones.

She just might have the key to locating El Dorado, the lost city of gold.

But enter Ivor Rice.

He's interested in getting the gold too in order to show his rich daddy that he can make it on his own.

And he does cleverly use Indy and Jesse to find the site, but all that is inside is a death trap that Indy purposefully triggers in hopes to make an escape, which he probably will.
