But first of all, let's just talk about Steve Clark and what he's done.

I am so thankful, so thankful for where he has taken the national team As someone who has watched Scottish football relentlessly for pretty much 30 years, and I say relentlessly, I have watched every qualification match, every friendly.

I've been through all the highs and the lows.

I remember, like yesterday, the 2-1 win against Liechtenstein when Stephen McManus scored a 96-minute winner.

uh goodness knows what year that was in i'm going to take a punt about like 2007 or something like that but we have seen some really really shocking lows and the denmark game was simply the greatest game of football i have ever seen in my life and i don't think it'll ever be topped and i i'm just so thankful i was there to witness that I mean, it truly, truly was incredible.

I was watching it in a pub, obviously I would have loved to have been in the stadium, but I was watching it in a pub and when Tierney scored, I obviously jumped up and jumped around and I knocked a tray of pies out of the hand of the manager who was coming around with some food for everyone.

And I knocked a bunch of pies to the ground, which I was very apologetic about.

But honestly, just thinking back to that moment, somehow I still can't believe it happened because of all the disappointment that's come before it and then also the night in Belgrade and that penalty shootout that was unbelievable I was living in Edinburgh at that time and I couldn't bear to watch it on the TV.

I couldn't watch it live because who wants to watch a penalty shootout when you're supporting one of the teams.

So I was listening to it on the radio just pacing around the streets at night time in Edinburgh and when we'd won I was just leaping, shouting, running through the streets I couldn't believe it.

And loads of other people were shouting out their windows and just, you could hear how much it meant to everyone.

You could hear all the houses or so many people celebrating.

Unbelievable.

So what an incredible journey we've had with him.

And I'm so thankful.

Obviously, it's not just down to him alone.

But I'm so thankful.

And I also have huge respect, huge respect for him going.

You know, by all accounts, it was his choice.
