That's the news, right? So I'm now looking at other options to ensure that the season doesn't fall off a cliff.

What does he need to do? Does he need another body in the building? Does Steve McManus need to go back to the B team or leave the club entirely, and then he's replaced within the coaching team with an assistant manager who's on the pitch every single day, Kev? Is that guy Roy Keane? I'm just putting it out there based on all the speculation.

I'm not saying I want that to happen.

Is that, for you, plausible? And if it happened, how would you feel?

Hassan apparently could be injured, um, and he's pulled out the, uh, Egyptian squad.

So from now until the end of this year, it's Martin O'Neill, Sean Maloney, Mark Fotheringham, Steve McManus, and the players they have at their disposal.

Is that good enough? Can they get a tune out of them? Do we need a change within the dugout, Jim? And what would that do to the rest of the season if we were to remove Martin from post?

Do you not think there's a whole... like sentimental pally act running through the entire club like oh yeah the entire club in terms of as you say like are people like at the club you talk about like Dermot Desmond being this like ruthless businessman who doesn't care who he's going to upset and and I know that he's largely absent I would say although I think he's involved when it when it comes to the the big decisions managers and big transfers um But generally at the club, it just seems to me like people are kind of scared to upset people and it ends up with situations where Callum McGregor's kind of deciding whether he wants to play and it feels like we've got coaches there that shouldn't really be there, but they're kind of there because they've played for Celtic in the past or they were around somewhere, so we'll fit them in here rather than maybe saying maybe the better decision here is... nothing against you but we're going to pay you off and get someone better into the role and even the whole Martin O'Neill thing feeds into that as well like we should be looking at this situation no doubt over the past three games you can add Laskin as well how bad that has all been and I think the board should be taking this out of Martin O'Neill's hands but there is no chance of them doing that as you say John we all know that if Martin O'Neill is going to leave it's going to be his decision but In terms of the coaches, yeah, I mean, I think they all have to go.

If Martin O'Neill does leave, it can't be a case of a new manager coming in and having, you know, Sean Maloney and Mark Fotheringham foisted upon them, Stephen McManus as well.

But again, you just have absolutely no faith.

You know, Celtic are behind the scenes or maybe sounding people just in case.

So, my worry would be that if we were to change, chances are Maloney would take over as manager until such times as Neil Lennon and Scott Brown come in as the dream team or Robbie Keane comes in or whoever else, Devin's going to speak about what he wants back in or they promote Steve McManus to come in as manager.

So I don't think that's necessarily going to fix the problems.

I think Martin could fix the problems.

Some people have already come in with their own thoughts on this and we'll be bringing them up.

I just gave you my opinion.

Sometimes a situation within a season, it can be a powder keg moment and if you sack the manager it doesn't actually solve the problem if you do it early enough you can overcome that last season was absolutely chaotic and it all started with the unravelling of Brendan Rodgers and his departure from the football club and then you've got to ask yourself do you trust those making the decisions Brian even once the manager's gone to make the right decision because let's not forget what they did after Brendan Rodgers left they went and they employed Matt Fotheringham who was unemployed Sean Maloney and Steve McManus who were already in the building and Martin O'Neill who had been unemployed as a football manager for six years.

That was their response to Brendan Rodgers leaving the building.

Sean Maloney, rather, and Mark Fotheringham will be leaning on them.

You've also got this figure of Stephen McManus, who I don't think he was pulling up trees for the B team as a coach, and all of a sudden he's now part of this setup.
