S5 E32: American Artifacts: The Eagle

So we are talking about American artifacts.

Last episode, we talked about the flag.

It's been kind of fun.

This episode, we are going to talk about the eagle and where the idea of the

eagle came from.

Fram.

The Fram.

The

Fram.

Love the eagle.

And yeah, there's a, I'm going to be honest.

I did buy into this mythology, and from what I'm reading right now, it appears that it was not true.

Might be like Washington's wooden teeth.

Yeah, but the mythology that Benjamin Franklin and possibly George Washington preferred the turkey as the American symbol because I don't know.

I don't know why, but that's kind of what I heard.

Everything I'm reading right now says that that was mythology and not true.

That's

interesting because I absolutely grew up learning that and believing that to this day.

You just pop.

That pop, that was a bubble.

It

wasn't the

stone?

No, that was not the stone.

It wasn't your kidney.
