Ron said the first and kind of overarching quality is love.

And Ron said God appeared as like a nuclear explosion of roiling light.

You've probably seen pictures of a nuclear explosion, but of course, from miles away.

Ron said, imagine being five feet away from that.

And, you know, interestingly, others like Captain Dale Black, who had a near-death experience, said that's what it looked like, the white churning energy of light of a nuclear explosion, but right up close.

And then Ron said, but what was roiling or churning even more was the love.

And Ron said, love is the quality that wraps all his other qualities together.

In other words, love is who God is.

And Jesus' disciple John, of course, says this in 1 John 4, 7 through 9, Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God.

Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God, but anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.

And of course, you know, Saul, the Pharisee, as we've talked about, was arresting and killing Jesus' followers just a few years after Jesus' crucifixion when he is blinded by the light of God.

And he asked, who are you, Lord? And this light says, I'm Jesus who you're persecuting.

And of course, Paul changed teams and wrote a good chunk of the New Testament, suffered much because of it, but also wrote this about love in 1 Corinthians 13.

If I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains but didn't love others, I would be nothing.

If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it.

But if I didn't love others, I would have gained nothing.

You see, all of who God is comes from love.

And so all God wants is that we become like him and that we start to do more and more out of the motivation of love.

And here's what's important to note for imagining God.

God is love, but he's also the source of all love.

You know, when people who claim to follow God do very unloving, hurtful, hateful things in the name of God, the Bible says they don't really know God, not truly.

And, you know, maybe your view of God has been distorted by people claiming to know God or follow God, but have not been very loving.
