But I, uh, never had an ambition of being a, uh, police diver, and, uh, I saw a lot of, uh, police divers during my time.
And you're not exactly, uh, you know, snorkeling around the, uh, Great Barrier Reef, the areas that you've got to search and, uh, where we send you in.
It's not, uh, it's not the lovely, uh, Rottnest Island diving, or especially from, from over here in the west-
I, I didn't actually ever intend on being a police diver when I first joined the police force.
Um, and it was mainly just based on the fact that I, I didn't want to do general duties anymore.
I'd sort of appreciated that lifestyle and that style of work for about seven years, as I said, but then I wanted to specialize in something.
So it wasn't naively you think, this is, you know, Perth's beautiful waterways and all that.
It'll be nice, uh, uh, swimming around Rottnest Island on, on a beautiful summer, summer's day or down at, uh, Claremont at the beaches.
It's always nice to, uh, speak to someone that's been in the same business and industry.
