So the jury deliberated for the whole week, essentially, this week.

Our last episode, we wrapped up the rebuttal witnesses and the closing arguments.

And then the jury went into deliberation.

They had one question initially, which was to see the pill bottles and the knife.

So I'm not sure exactly what they were interested in those for because we don't hear about the deliberations, but we do, you know, we can hear what their questions were.

So then each day there was further jury deliberation.

And then a note came saying that they weren't sure what to do because they were having difficulty coming to a unanimous decision.

And so the judge sort of encouraged them to keep deliberating and sent them back.

And then they were back for another day or more before another note came out.

And essentially, the foreperson of the jury sent in a note saying that there was one juror who they felt was refusing to apply the law regarding reasonable doubt to their deliberations.

So we didn't get to...

I think we may have heard the notes later when Kevin Reddington was making argument, but initially we didn't get to hear that first note, what it said.

But then from what he said, it sounds like they were indicating...

I believe there was a second note that sort of named the juror, if I'm not mistaken, essentially saying that 11 of them were on the same page.

There was one juror who, while acknowledging that he had doubt, was not willing to apply their reasonable doubt the way that they had been given that instruction by the judge.

So there was sort of discussion of what to do.

Well,

didn't the judge at that point speak to them all independently?

Yeah, he did.

He brought them in each individually, brought them up.

The attorneys and Lindsay were at the judge's bench when they were doing this.

And according to Kevin Reddington, he essentially asked them, are you able to follow the instructions that I have given you? And that was kind of the only question.

I know Kevin Reddington wanted something more forceful, more stern to sort of suss out if this was something that they were going to do.

you know, if they were going to apply the reasonable doubt or if this was sort of something that they understood the concept of, but they weren't going to do it.

So they did all that.
