I don't know if it's because we're such a driving city or it's just a culture thing, but my husband didn't have winter boots.
So, okay, so I, a few years ago, because I was like that, I'm like, well, you know, I don't look cool.
And also, also, downtown has, like, there's a specific style of clothing that the downtown office worker will wear.
Like, it is a unique, you know, like, I'd be really interested almost to do, like, an ethnography of of downtown fashion in Calgary.
Like people who work in downtown offices in Calgary dress differently from the rest of the human beings that live in the city.
And we, you know, a few years ago, I decided that I had had enough that I was like, I'm gonna dress for the weather, no matter how silly I look, no matter how bundled up I have to get.
And what I realized in doing this is that it's not very often that I actually have to bundle up.
I so a few years ago, I bought like the big thick winter boots like rated for minus 40 you can go outside and you will not feel it like i i've worn those boots for a half hour walk outside in minus 40 and like my feet were toasty warm the whole time no problems um i wore those boots zero times this past
zero times because it just wasn't needed okay It just, I just, on the days that it happened to be that cold, I was lucky enough to not have to go outside, you know, and, and it didn't get that cold that often.
And so, yeah, we way overblow, you know, whenever I remember being in university and I would always tell people, I'm like, oh, I'm Canadian.
And then, And then if somebody else said something like that to me, like, oh, you're Canadian, so you must be used to this.
I'd be like, what the hell are you talking about? And I would like get offended by it.
