Like, I had to deliver at Foothills, whereas I live right next to South Health.

And all three of my other kids were at South Health.

And the way they do it is there's literally a specific accreta team that deals with accreta cases.

I felt really bad.

My speaker just went weird.

I felt really bad in the hospital because, so again, it was so funny because all of them were like, oh, did you have all your babies at Foothills? And I was like, no, I had my other three at South Health.

And they were like, oh, sorry.

Currently, 39 patients are being cared for in hospital and at least 19 are in critical condition.

Patients were transferred from Wainwright Health Centre to four facilities, the University of Alberta Hospital, the Royal Alexandra Hospital, the Foothills Medical Centre and the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

I do want to assure their families every single one of these patients will receive the absolute highest standard of care in the days and weeks and months ahead to handle the sudden surge.

Code orange protocols were activated at the facilities managing the rapid influx of injured patients.

This is happening every day.

Foothills, the big hospitals.

These aren't small rural hospitals even.

And, and the reason is we don't have enough anesthesiologists.

They took me to Calgary 'cause they couldn't keep me there.

And there's a great hospital in Calgary, um, Foothills Hospital.

And, um, I was there about three days and, and they did this angiogram.

And at the same time they did it, they put a couple of stents in, um, and sent me packing the next day.

Yeah.

Um, and so, you know, we keep in touch, and actually, if you go to the Foothills Hospital, um, [laughs] our family and family photos are all over there as, as we have, um, you know, tried to promote, and, and, uh-

She had a very difficult delivery of one of her children and ended up hemorrhaging.

And stars airlifted her from Sundry, Alberta, into the Foothills Hospital.

So her piece is called The Golden Hour.

Now, as an artist or a photographer, the golden hour is that magic last hour of daylight where the shadows are just a little bit special, the magic light.
