On episode 274 of the HoxTalks podcast, hosts Logan and Jackson return after another infamous podcaster break to discuss the start of the NBA regular season, the Hawks game against the Magic, give out…
Wait, what did you say, Logan? I said fight! yeah absolutely there you go that's that's the spirit we need um so logan i want to ask you something yeah yeah yeah let's just go ahead and let's kind of get into the meat and potatoes of it if you will all right who's gonna be the leading scorer on the hulks this year uh jaylen johnson
you know who's gonna lead the team in rebounds you know jackson i actually i want to ask you something first Okay, I'm kind of scared.
Actually, it's like the most boring question of all time, but I'm curious what you come up with because we did not run through this beforehand.
Give me your most, and I hate to sound like a dork, but give me your hot take for the upcoming Hawks season because I have one.
I have one, and I know for a fact it's not going to be what you say.
Is this like, okay, when
we say hot take, is this like regarding like, oh, I think this player is going to be good or how deep are we going into this?
So I'll give you mine just so you can get a thought about it.
Yeah, I feel like that will help me.
My hot take is that at some point, you know, by November, December, because if you watched, you know, the final preseason game against the Mavericks.
That was essentially a dress rehearsal.
The Hawks, I believe, played a nine-man rotation with the 10th man in the rotation not coming in really until the garbage time, and that was Corey Kispert.
My hot take is that at some point during this season, the Hawks will need Corey Kispert, and he will deliver for us.
I'm not talking about one game.
I'm talking about over a stretch.
I mean in this situation.
All right, Logan.
I just want you to know, no part of me was expecting this from you.
Exactly.
None at all.
Exactly.
That's why it's a hot take.
I think – I don't know why.
I think it's just because I wanted it to be different.
