I feel like it's doing something very different from everything else out there about aging.
For my listeners who haven't discovered it yet, tell me what it is and who it's for, because I actually think that the answer might surprise them.
What's expected of me? What are my societal expectations, my familial expectations, my goals and dreams? Am I on track with my own vision of my life? Am I on track with my peers? And so I'm interested in what everybody's going through as they pass through these junctures.
I'm also trying to create cross-generational, cross-gender conversation about aging because if you only include people of a certain age or of a certain gender, those are the only people talking to each other.
If you want younger people to understand what older people are going through and to stop being ageist toward them, you have to invite them into the conversation.
In order to do that, you have to also feature them and what they're going through.
I invite everybody to talk about What's it like to be your exact age right now? And I do that through interviews and also personal essays.
Everybody's telling their age story in their own words, which matters a lot to me.
