Instant reaction: Steve Sarkisian speaks as Texas football looks to rebound against Florida

Yeah, I think that's fair.

You know, and, and we'll get into some of the specifics, but the way he describes the offensive struggles, inconsistency-

Mm-hmm

...

I think the word rhythm was used maybe 10 times-

Yeah

...

in this press conference [laughs].

That's probably a bit of an exaggeration-

Yeah

...

but it sounds like he just feels like, "Hey, we've gotta...

Once we get this rhythm and get things kind of in rhythm, things will start flowing better," and he kind of expects it to...

Once it clicks, I feel like he expects it to snowball, and it's just gonna keep clicking.

Um, you know, we'll see.

We'll see.

You're f- you know, more than a th- about a third of the way through the season, and, uh, more than that, and, um, it hasn't clicked really yet, not consistently.

Uh, the special teams discussion, he was asked r- well, you asked a question I believe, Dave, too, but, um, you know, about the special teams and not making a change, and I kinda get it, not making a change in season.

Yeah.

But he said, "Hey, man, our special teams have been good here at Texas, uh, for a while, and they've been explosive," and I'm like, "Okay." [laughs]

[laughs]

There've been some moments, let's be clear, but there have been a lot of moments of inconsistency in, in bad moments in the special teams.

But you're right, I mean, I don't know if digging his heels in...

You know, it wasn't like Sark was, like, combative with the media.

No.

Yeah, I think that's fair.
