So we get to this point where, you know, many of you listening have been doing the pelvic health method.

You've been working with me, or maybe you're just beginning and it's making sense to you, and it's looking at, how do we keep going? How do we progress? How do we do more? And in doing so, we were looking at the way that the, our bodies as women respond to the activities that we are doing.

And that's what I wanna kind of bring into the episode today, is the things that you can be looking for by way of a checklist when you're doing exercise.

And it's not necessarily the way I was delivering it to the teachers because obviously I need to make sure that this all is applicable and usable and sensible for you.

One of the things that I see often and what the teachers have fed back to me is that, that there's a lot of fear around exercise, and some of that is because we've been told, "Oh, you've got prolapse, so all this list of exercises, that's going to be dangerous for you." We're told, "Don't lift, don't run, don't jump.

It will make things worse." So, you know, they're putting a halt, you know, stopping the things that they may have previously chosen to do.

And what I want us to have as a takeaway today is that you actually don't need to fear exercise.

You need a few clear things to notice so you can tell what's working and what isn't.

Not a warning label, not like we're so often told, you know, "You can't do this and you can't do that.

This is much more about, okay, you're gonna be doing exercise in lots of different contexts or maybe just your everyday activities.

You know, one of the things that comes to mind, in fact, two things that come to mind that I remember feeling really like they were strenuous and challenging to my pelvic floor, and that was lifting the laundry basket, which I know is so whatever.

And I remember really feeling like that was a fear for me, lifting that laundry, especially when you've hauled it out the washing machine and it weighs even more because it's sopping wet.

And then the other thing was doing the shopping, like lifting those shopping bags.

The pushing the trolley was a bit of a thing definitely, especially because I had some pelvic pain.

Postnatally, that was certainly a thing, but it was more getting the bags of shopping out of the trolley, that lift and turn.
