And are they of the type who, if in three and a half years there is a different administration, a slightly more progressive administration, perhaps a democratic or hopefully a democratic administration, that they will just simply jump on that bandwagon and switch back? Or are they on an inexorable path because it suits them?

I suppose that depends on whether they think that MAGA has a future in four years' time.

Does the small number of billionaires feel that they can benefit personally from continuing to push this agenda, trying to shape the US political narrative in their favour? And if they think, look, here's a rump Republican Party and we can continue to get more benefits out of it than by aligning with the Democrats, they will.

And as long as they're more afraid of the right than the left, I think they'll continue on that trend.

And is it all just business? You know, because a lot of these people, you know, not the Peter Thiels of this world, you know, Musk, well, Musk has waxed and waned in terms of, is he right, is he left, or what the hell is he? I mean, is it all just the bottom line? Is it all just about business? I think that really depends on the individual.

Musk is much more of a peculiar character, but who fundamentally wants to be loved.

Musk is somebody who has daddy issues, fundamentally, and he's looking for the approval he never gained as a child.

But more generally, I think what's really interesting, if you step back a little bit, it's not just the tech moguls, but a lot of people across the public space generally, people in the public eye and journalists, broadcasters experience this as well.

You're now exposed to a really unusual dynamic where if you became prominent in this area 15 years ago, 20 years ago, you didn't have to listen to the little guy because their voice wasn't amplified back to you.

And did you see that? Your man, wasn't he terrible? And I think a lot of people literally did not believe what the average person thought of them.
