You mentioned on your website, this is the kind of learning you longed for in naturopathic medical school.
And that kind of just caught my eye.
So yeah, tell us more about that.
Yeah, I found, you know, especially the first couple of years of botanical medicine, we're like, you know, quite like heavy, like cognitive.
you know,
memorizing, I don't know, like 100 plants, 100 herbs at a time, and like their Latin names.
And I remember all my flashcards with all the names and all the constituents.
So memorizing all of the constituents, the Latin names, the interactions, the pharmacology, the contraindications.
And that was really getting to know the plants directly, like sitting with the plants.
And so I felt this call from the plants themselves to be like, if you really want to get to know us,
you know,
this is what you need to do is really sit with us, spend time with us, work with us, listen, you know, deepen relationship like really that's the that's the root of it is is deepening those relationships and so for me in school I would feel frustrated sometimes like with all of the cognitive um and and not enough of the the heart the the connection um and and so I really I did crave that and so even in school I kind of carved out those those spaces where I would take um like my like herbal key and go out you know on the land and try to get to know the plants growing around me Or I would, you know, grow some medicines in a pot and just sit with them and get to know them that way or make a tea and kind of connect if I was like learning about one.
Love it.
Just a real quick question because I have a follow up to that, but just kind of a random question.
Do you use the Hitchcock key where you live or?
know.
