The Montreal Canadiens lose after a tough goaltending performance, despite Josh Anderson an the offence shining. Josh Gosse chats about all of it on this episode of Habs Digest. --- 0:00 Montreal…
I mean, I know six points in seven games is like you can't really extrapolate that out over the whole season.
and i love this right i do love this but part of me thinks that this is a problem and let me know down below if you disagree with me right now but i feel like i shouldn't be looking at box scores and seeing noah dobson leading the team in shots and josh anderson leading the team in goals again i don't think it's a bad thing The depth is good, but I'm still waiting for the top guys, not named Lane Hudson or Nick Suzuki, to kick it up another notch.
I think he's still creating good chances, and Montreal in general is creating a lot of good chances.
It is what it is, and of course, without Ivan Demidov, without Oliver Kapanen, who again, I think we sometimes forget, has been a top six player for a large chunk of his time in Montreal, not to mention being without Mike Matheson, there is a lot going on, right? There are a lot of injuries.
You take what you can get, but it was also the second night of a back-to-back for Washington.
Your top level guys, can they get points? Can they produce? Can they put you over the top? Alex Tuck showed up for Washington.
But what about the others? Well, Gooley, to be fair to him, of course, coming back from an injury, it is what it is.
that just proves it not even close the worst defensive pairing in this game by a mile um but again i i i can't really hold that against ghoulie coming back from injury fine you still need to do a bit of a better job clearing out the front of the net if you ask me but if we take a look at the forward lines this is where i'm starting to have an issue right like now slavkovsky suzuki caulfield which has been our best line for years They're getting matched up against other top lines, and we're seeing this happen again, where Washington is able to sort of, not always, of course, you still generate chances, but sort of neutralize these guys at 5v5.
