And when they mentioned, because in the show they kind of showcase the trade that never happened, that never went through in the very last seconds, and it sounded as though Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton were going to be making the trade with L.A. to secure another first round pick.

Now, whether or not it's Patrick Laine and something else that was going on top of the salary retention of Patrick Laine, whether that was sufficient, whether there was another player going, we don't know.

We genuinely don't know.

But I think that they were going to be getting Los Angeles Kings first round pick.

Would this even make sense? He's a former second overall pick 10 years ago in 2016.

I don't think that they need another power play guy and certainly not a power play guy playing in Alex the Brinkett spot.

That makes absolutely no sense to me because Alex the Brinkett is going to score you 40 to 50 goals in his spot.

So why would you put Patrick Laine there instead? So for me, it's a no.
