But where am I getting all this from? I saw this tweet on, well, on Twitter, of course, from John Engstrom here, and he says, All right, Flames fans, what are you all most excited for about the up coming season as you can see at the time of recording or at least at the time that I set up these graphics there were 40 comments and a lot of people had a lot to say personally for me what am I most excited about is just to see you know the injection of the youth for this season as I keep saying on almost every video it's a season to make mistakes it's a season for development it's a season to kind of try things out for all of these young guys super excited to see that there are of course many other things that's just the main thing and please feel free to let me know down below what you're most excited about for the upcoming season shout out to john for tweeting this out but there were obviously a lot of comments not going to look at all 40 um you know you gotta censor some stuff can't put them in a youtube video and also so much political stuff on on twitter despite it being a hockey question i don't know why people can't leave politics out of sports but let's get into some of the awesome ones here so first one here a guy says on the flames if cooley mr linear algebra himself if you haven't seen that video it's absolutely hilarious apparently he just does it for fun but if cooley and wolf can keep it up and if grid and frost and coronado can continue to crush it kind of the most you know chemistry coded things for the flames this year is the goalie tandem and then that top line uh that was so good towards the end of last season He also says, but I'm more stoked to see if Reshne, Wittenbach, Carls, Potter, and Muse can all take good steps this NCAA season, as well as others.

But it'd be cool if some of those guys can, you know, obviously get into at least a game with the big club towards the end of the season.

Another person says, potentially Carls debut in the spring with a heart.

No, no, this is not linear algebra.

This is Wolf and Cooley.

There is, barring injury, I don't see one scenario where that is changing for the next couple of seasons.

Wolf and Cooley could be part of your fantasy hockey team.

I kind of teased it before the break there.

And so this is a perfect time to do everything that Robert has talked about there.

Are you going to hot take your goaltenders here or can we just assume it's Wolf Cooley?

Yeah, no hot takes needed.

Definitely not.

However, the one sort of storyline is how many games is Cooley going to play this year? Because last year, you could tell the organization was horrified to play this guy to start the year.

Whereas now it's like, okay, they have lots of confidence in him.

Is this going to be like a 50-34 split? Is Wolfe going to be pushing 60 games again? I think that part's going to be kind of interesting to watch when it comes to the goalies.

It's pretty set in the NHL.

So that's a problem with Demko.

Wolf, I think, has a Devin Cooley problem, who we've heard Kevin Woodley come on to the Apples and Geos podcast and talk about how good Devin Cooley was last year.

I think if Cooley continues to ascend, then Wolf will kind of end up being not a starter anymore.

And just a 1A, 1B situation.

The last tier here is Tier 9.

I call this the They Exist tier.

Stuart Skinner, Casey DeSmith, Devin Cooley, Philip Gustafson, Philip Grubauer, Sebastian Kosa, and Aiden Hill rounding us out at 50 total goalies mentioned here today.

Stuart Skinner, obviously, if Hellebuck is traded and Skinner is the last man standing in the Winnipeg net, then that would be of interest just from a volume perspective.

Can you name five, Flames?

Matt Vaigreden, Matt Coronado, Dustin Wolfe, Devin Cooley, Zane Perrecht, Simone Nemech, Kevin Ball.

Now I'm just running out of air.

So two of those guys play the same position.

No, but I mean, it's definitely, it's like Calgary.

I, I'm going to predict the environment in Calgary, which is giving up tons of shots against and like Devin Cooley played amazing last year and Wolf still had like huge amount of starts, huge amount of saves.

So I think it's going to be the same thing, even if Cooley plays lights out again, which he might, he might not have as good of a season, but, Wolf, I'm not saying he's going to have an amazing season, but he's going to get tons of saves.

And in points leagues like the APL, the bad starts don't really punish you too bad.

Quinn Hughes's departure and the effort from the new coaches and GM around getting more connected to the city and to the fans you know there are other things happening there's more efforts being made and I think it would be interesting to see what happens over the next few seasons and of course if you play for Calgary your most important teammate is Tito Cooley The rabbit.

Honestly, following Devin Cooley's rabbit on Instagram has brought me so much joy.

And I really could not recommend it more for these trying times.

Will Smith looks like he's going to be a stud.

They've got a top young goaltender in Yaroslav Skarov.

Who's the defender? Because Sam Dickinson's gotten run over.

It's still early days for him.

Goodness me.

Obviously, probably the guy you're leaning toward the most.

Do goaltenders draw into this conversation? Yeah.

Because you have Dustin Wolf, who didn't have a great year last year.
