And we're now very happy to be joined by Nasser Mashni, who is the Australian Palestine Addressing Network and longtime Palestinian activist who has been at the forefront of the mass protests against Israel's genocide in Gaza.
So, yeah, good morning, Nasser.
Good morning.
How are you doing? Yeah, I'm good.
What can you tell us about the significance of the Global Day for Gaza and why is it so important for people in Na'am, but also all over the world, to keep continue mobilizing for Palestine?
Well, I mean, there's never been a more important time for us to be mobilizing, not just for Palestine, but for humanity.
And particularly now, because of the so-called ceasefire, Gaza has been out of the news cycle for months on end.
We know since the ceasefire, in excess of 1,500 Palestinians have been killed.
And since the genocide started now three years ago, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed, wounded, injured, orphaned, and slaughtered by genocidal apartheid Israel.
And so we need everyone to be on the streets this weekend for the global call.
It's a global call of solidarity with Gaza and a big speak out so that we can put Gaza back on the media map.
