Karina VillaGuestCelebrating an event like it for the second century is rare, and especially for a business and a grocery store that's so interwoven into the neighborhood, into the entire city of Aurora.
My grandmother used to make a soup for us growing up called albondigas and she always taught us that when it comes to the ingredients you put into this specific dish it's always about keeping the highest quality ingredients that go into everything from the meat Crisco so I wanted to continue that same condition of focusing on quality ingredients so when I cook for my family and Andy you can vouch for it where's Andy at you can look at your point system and see how much I spend here at this store And I'm proud to do so, not just as an award for Auburn, but also a member of this community, a member of this neighborhood.
And Chris, thank you for everything you do for our community here in Ward 4 and the entire city of Auburn.
Thank you so
much, Auburn and Newtons.
We are going to move forward and we are going to hear from our state representative of this district, Barbara Hernandez.
Round of applause.

And I've seen the obstacles you have faced as a small business, everything from, I'm sure, administrative, but also unfortunately, nature, right? And that's how I met Andy a year or two ago where, unfortunately, the storms were damaging his store.

And I came to tour and get to see the damage and see what we could do as a state and be able to help.

There's been obstacles in the Carajo government, unfortunately, with that.

However, in the state of Illinois, we are trying our best to put grants available for our local grocery stores.

And hopefully I can see you guys be successful for 100 more years and just see your family grow.
